The Most Heavenly Tasting Stone Fruit You Can Grow!

After tasting Sugar Pearls, we were at a loss for words to describe the full-bodied, sweet golden-honey flavor of this incredible white apricot. Totally unlike any apricot (or any other fruit for that matter) you've ever tasted, bursting with sun-sweetened nectar. It's just too good to pass up! Can bear as quickly as a year after planting and blooms much later than all other apricot varieties—so even if you were too far north to grow apricots before—now's your chance! Plant with Harlayne to ensure pollination. Ripens late June to early July. PP18639.

Zones: 4 - 7 (-20 F.).
Height: Standard tree grows 15 - 20 feet. Semi-dwarf tree will grow 12-15 feet tall.
Shade Requirement: Needs full Sun for maximum flower and fruit production.

Fast Growing
Reviewed By: upstate new york (Nassau, NY)
Trees come small but grow very quickly. Often trees planted small outgrow those planted larger. I pruned and trained like a peach, and it is now 10 feet tall and just as wide. It would have had fruit in its 3rd year, but a very late hard freeze killed the blossoms. The only problem I have had is with brown rot in the young shoots, and had I had fruit, it would have likely had the same problem. Fungus issues are common with stone fruits in humid climates. A good fungicide cleared up my problem, so I anticipate good potential for fruiting here this coming season.

excellent flavor

I planted this tree 3 years ago and it grew fast. This past spring, it was about 9 feet tall, it flowered profusely and set a lot of fruit. I thinned the fruit extensively and got lots of big, juicy, very sweet apricots in mid-summer. The biggest problem was fighting the squirrels for it. The tree is now growing about 4 feet per year and is loaded with lots of flower buds for next year. These are without doubt the best apricots I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this variety.
