Snow Queen Hydrangea

One of the finest ever for the South.

Produces towers of large, white, upright-pointed, dense flower heads. The creamy white flowers turn light pink in fall. Blooms continuously from June to September. 5–6' tall at maturity, will develop a spreading colony with age. Bold foliage with outstanding fall color. Best in shade or partial shade. Potted. Zones 6–9.

Form: Deciduous woody shrub.
Flower Form: 1/2 - 1" five-lobed florets in broad, elongated, upright panicles 6 - 12" long.
Soil Requirements: Well-drained, fertile, moist soil.
Growth Rate: Slow to medium once established, which takes approximately 6 - 8 weeks.
Pruning: Little pruning is needed, but if it is necessary to maintain its shape, prune immediately after done flowering. This variety blooms on old wood. Dead wood can be removed at any time. After flowering
Foliage: Large, dark green, leathery textured leaves with broad lobes. 4 - 8" long, 3 - 5" wide.
