Easier to grow than celery, this celeriac is an early-maturing variety with a peppery, celery-like flavor. Its 4-in., round roots have a smooth texture and dense flesh with almost no fibers. Use raw or cooked in soups, salads, slaws, roasted or as seasoning. Keeps for months. Approx. 70 DAYS.

We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.

Soil Requirements: Rich, moist soil. A generous amount of compost or rotted manure worked deeply into the soil before planting helps retain moisture and add nutrients.
Seed Count: Approximately 300 seeds per packet.
Pruning: Throughout the season, remove any lateral and lower shoots to help the root develop a smooth surface. Remove some of the outer leaves to make the root grow larger and smoother, then I cover it with soil or mulch to keep it blanched and tender.
Foliage: Parsley-like foliage.
