Known as the first (and the best!) black tulip on the commercial market, Queen of Night exhibits a vigorous growth habit, upright flower form and a color that's just as dark and dramatic as you'd expect. The rich black-maroon blooms appear in late spring and last for a long period of time in the garden or vase. Plant Queen of Night alongside white or lightly colored springtime perennials for a bold, contrasting display in the landscape. Perfect for seasonal borders, mixed beds and cutting gardens, it also makes an exceptional container plant. Snip a few stems for a striking monochromatic arrangement, or add it to other, more colorful varieties for a bit of flair. Easy to grow and maintain. Hardy in Zones 3-8.
