  • Depth: Graft or bud union should be 2 inches above the soil line.
  • Spread: 12 - 14 feet for standard, 4 - 6 feet lor Li'l BIG.
  • Sun/Shade: Full Sun.
  • Pollinator: Goldrush, McIntosh, Gala, Enterprise, Pixie Crunch, most crabapples.
  • Yield: High yields for standard, 1/2 bushel for Li'l BIG.
  • Foliage: Green foliage.
  • Blooms: Early to mid season.
  • Fruit: Fruit is yellow over green, round and medium in size. Texture is firm and juicy with a pleasant, sweet-tart flavor.

  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, deep soil that is reasonably fertile.
  • Growth Rate: Medium growth rate and vigor.
  • Pruning: Remove any suckers coming from the rootstock. Remove any crossed, crowed or inward growing limbs in late Winter or very early Spring.
  • Comments: Introduced in 1994 from Purdue, this is a high quality early season apple. Widely adaptable, due to it's early ripening time, Pristine avoids the collection of so-called Summer diseases (such as sooty blotch and fly speck). Unable to ship to: AE, AK, GU, HI, PR.
