Mixed Foxglove

Midsummer Mix of Blooms

  • Mix of pastel colors
  • Flower spikes in summer time
  • Attracts hummingbirds
  • Reseeding biennial plant
  • Deer tend to avoid
A great plant for adding pastel colors and height to back borders, foxglove's name means "fairy gloves"—derived from the fingerlike flower spikes. In the summer, spikes with colorful, 3-in. flowers lure hummingbirds to the garden. Growing 2-4 ft. tall, Mixed Foxglove is a mix of creamy yellow, white, purple or pink flowers, our choice. In the North, foxglove is a biennial and will bloom the second year. It usually reseeds itself after flowering. In the South, it may be perennial. While it prefers partial shade, Mixed Foxglove can be grown in full sun. Deer tend to avoid. Zones 4-8.
