Fruit: Medium to large, bright red fruit. Very tender, thin skin

Growth Rate: 1 - 2 fee per year

Pruning: Remove any suckers coming from the rootstock. Remove any crossed , crowed or inward growing limbs, Late winter or very early spring.

Comments: Sweet crisp, white flesh. A good all-around apple. Resistant to cedar-apple rust and fireblight. Small-cored apple. Tart, spicy flavor. Keeps well in January in chilled storage. Partially self-fruitful but produces better with another variety.SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: APPLE TREES ARE GRAFTED. MIX GENEROUS AMOUNTS OF ORGANIC MATERIAL 15-18 INCHES INTO SOIL BEFORE PLANTING. Apple Sticks

From what I understand, McIntosh trees aren't supposed to do well here..we'll see. I can tell you that when I received them I worried about their small stature and looking like sticks. After a few days in the ground they were off and running. Wish me luck.
