Giant Grey Sunflower
Reviewed By: lois rosevelt (Topeka, KS)
This is the first time I have grown the giant grey sunflower, it grew to 12 ft tall and the actual flower is huge, almost 20 inches across and really drooping. What do I do with this now, cut it off, leave it alone for the birds, what???, The leaves are so huge and my daughter paints on leaves so she is thrilled with that.

Mammoth Indeed!!!
Reviewed By: Suzi (Pittsburgh, PA)
These sunflowers were awesome! They grew to about 10' in clay soil. I added some peat to the soil and they seemed to like that. It was fun to watch them grow every week. Highly recommended!

Plant them every year
Reviewed By: Sue (Independence, MN)
I plant this variety every year. I love the look of the mammoth plant and flower, and the birds really enjoy their seeds. I have had problems with deer chomping off the flower heads when they're 3-4 feet, so I protect them with netting until they get taller.

DEER HATE THEM!
Reviewed By: SHERRY (ANDOVER, CONN.)
I live in the country and deer love to eat my garden and Hosta's. I read in a book that deer hate the smell of sunflowers so I grew them last year, and I didn't have a single deer or pests! My plants grew wonderful for once.
