Foliage: Large green foliage.
Blooms: Mid to late Summer for about 2 weeks depending on weather.
Soil Requirements: Lilies like a rich, well drained soil with some organic matter.
Pruning: Remove flower heads as they fade to send more energy to the bulb. Do not cut the stem until the leaves have died because the foliage is feeding the bulb for next year's growth. Once the leaves have died, cut the entire plant stem at the ground.

Comments: Large flowers and big buds, very strong stem. After 3 years the plant is 100" tall. And the stem becomes 1.5" - 2" in diameter. The stems are so strong, that the plant does not need a support. Every plant bears after 3 years approximately 20 to 30 flowers per bulb. O.T. tree lilies will keep their fresh green foliage during their blooming period. The first year a height of 48", the second year already 70" and the third year it is like a tree. Blooma again every year, do not remove the leaves in lthe Fall until they are completely yellow. Bulbs are hardy, however we do recommend providing a mulch since this improves the soil quality. Grass clippings, leaves or bark are excellent for this purpose. These new O.T. Hybrid Tree Lily varieties are in a class themselves and are a hybridizers perfect cross between Orientals and Trumpet Lilies. They are sometimes referred to as Orienpets. Oriential Lilies are known for their fragrance, spectacular colors and flower size, naturalize well and are easy to grow. These new O.T. Lilies look like Orientials but have a trumpet shaped flower.
