Botanical Name: Ligularia 'The Rocket'

Depth: Plant so that the crown of the plant is 1" below the soil surface. Water thoroughly.

Sun/Shade: Partial to full shade.
Color: Bright lemon-yellow flowers.
Foliage: Large coarsely toothed, leathery heart shaped leaves up to 1' long and wide forms an attractive mounded shape . Rich green on top and ebony to purple on underside of leaves.
Form: Upright clump forming.
Flower Form: Small 1" daisy like flowers form dense racemes 18" - 24" long atop thick purple alternately leafed stems.
Soil Requirements: Humus rich, medium to wet soil.
Growth Rate: Medium growth.
Comments: A hummingbird favorite. A large impressive perennial. Both foliage and blooms are attractive. Dramatic and almost tropical looking, but hardy and easy to grow.
