Best Corn Ever-but you have to feed it!
Reviewed By: ES Gardener (Cape Charles, VA)
Buddy of ours showed us this variety about 6 years ago and without doubt it is the best corn we've ever had but it does require plenty of Nitrogen. Without it your plants will only reach 3' and be pale green.

Planted "Gotta Have It" for the 1st time this year. We had 100% germination and all the stalks were at least 9 ft. tall. The ears were the sweetest we've ever had. Absolutely planting again.

Grows Great; Keep squirrels out
Reviewed By: Austin Parks (Lexington, North Carolina)
This seed germinated very quickly even without a lot of rainfall. This corn taste great but squirrels, racoons and deer ate it quickly before it was time to pick only leaveing some combs behind. Overall this is a great seed and I highly recommend this product.

Great Crop
Reviewed By: Anjanette (Richland, Missouri)
I am just starting with the grow it myself gardens. I read about the Gotta-Have-It sweet corn and decided that was the one for me. I planted about 80 seeds, all but 4 plants came up to about 5-6 feet tall with between one to three ears per plant. Corn was real healthy looking, great tasting and alot of fun for me. Only problem is I am now getting alot of corn ear worms on them.

Have been trying a different corn for each the last 5 years. This by far the best I've ever grown. Sweet, tender and highly productive. Almost 100% germination, stocks 5-6' tall. Friends and family love it. Will definitely buy it again.

Really poor seed
Reviewed By: Rick Lowe (Candler, nc)
Read the catalog rave over the Gotta Have It corn and decided to try it this year. Planted in early May and only had about 75% germination. What plants did come up have grown to around 3' and stopped growning. Now they are tasseling with only one ear per plant. This has really ruined our first corn of the summer. From reading other reviews, this appears to be a common porblem with this batch of seed.

What a Dud
Reviewed By: Al Binns (Lander, Wyoming)
"Growing corn at my location is not easy, but have had good luck with early sunglow hybrid corn for many years. Usual yield is more than my family can eat. Since Gurneys quit carrying that corn, I decided to try the ""Gotta Have it"" strain. WHAT A BUST!! Of 88 seeds planted, only 28 plants came up -- that is only 32% germination and growth was poor. Harvest was exactly three small ears. Will be buying my corn seed elsewhere in 2010."

Worst corn ever
Reviewed By: jjphoto (nunya, TX)
I've grown corn successfully for years, but this seed was terrible. Maybe 10% came up, and then the ones that did come up only got a couple feet tall and then just gave up on life. Horrible stuff. Going back to my tried and true.
