Botanical Name: Iris germanica 'Gnus Flash'; Family iridaceae (iris family)

Spacing: 18-24"

Depth: Dig a shalow hole 2-4" deep and twice as wide as the rhizome. Place the rhizome on a small mound in the middle of this hole and spread the roots. Fill the hole with soil, but only partially cover the rhizome. Water thoroughly

Color: Amoena style iris with unusual coloration; silvery white streaks splashed across grayish-tan standards and dark grape falls

Soil Requirements: Well-drained; quite tolerant of a wide range of soils

Pruning: Cut back foliage to 6" fans in late fall. clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers from overwintering. Prune late fall to early winter

Comments: In colder climates, mulch for the first winter to prevent heaving of plants from alternate freezing and thawing weather. Shipped in fall. Unique color and good growth habit.
