Can't Beat this Beet
Reviewed By: Ellen (Helena, MT)
I must say that this beet is the very BEST I have ever planted in Montana. One year is was about 3 weeks late in harvesting and the beets stood up to it. I have been told I make the best pickled beets ever...I think it has much to do with the Forono Beet seed tape I use. Thanks Gurneys.

I have tried all kinds of beets for pickling , And after a review of trying the best ive ever have used is the Fondo Beet,Great Taste and is great for pickling, But make sure you hoe the dirt to the top of each beet, We dug some and were 3 feet long. Thats the best we had in July 23,2010 i would referr that to anyone !

Easy to slice
Reviewed By: Valerie (Baltimore, Maryland)
I am so impressed with these beets. The cylindrical shape make them very easy to slice. I don't skin them, the skin is quite thin. But best of all, the germination rate was almost 100% and I no problems with disease.

WOW
Reviewed By: David Rice (Windsor, Vermont)
My family has always had problems growing the traditional beets because of our soil type and the crazy Vermont climate. I ordered a packet of Forono Beets this year from Gurneys and we had beet greens in a Months time! Very excellent, and sweet tasting, grows very well. Goes well with Salt Pork!!

Uniform and delicious!

These beets are delicious and do not have that muddy flavor of other beets. Because of it cylinder shape it is much easier to peel, cut and can.
