Not everbearing
Reviewed By: Jason (Arnoldsville, Georgia)
These strawberries did not work well at all here in northeast Georgia. The strawberries were small, not very sweet, and produced for only a couple of weeks in the beginning of May. I kept them for two seasons to see if it would improve. The second season was a little bit better in terms of quantity, but had no improvement in size or taste. Going to try another variety.

fabulous!

I only bought two plants to see if they could survive the heat of southern Nevada. Not only did they survive but they flourished! I never got huge berries but the plants are young---however the berries are very sweet. I am ordering about 30 more.

Great plants
Reviewed By: Feng S. (Olympia, Washington)
I bought my first strawberries ever a month ago. I soaked and planted the bare roots per instructions and the next day my plants had leaves! It has been a month since I have planted. Not one plant has died, all of the plants look healthy, and they're sprouting runners. I received so many plants from one order that I brought some to the retirement home I work at so our residents can plant them in the garden. These plants were a great value!

No fruit Yet
Reviewed By: Stephanie (Carmel, IN)
I planted 25 plants in May. Within a week or 2, the leaves were huge and the vines are now running rampant, but I have yet to bear any fruit. I thought maybe the plants do not bear fruit until year 2+, but it sounds like others are having better luck than me. I would change my rating if I would get any fruit....will have to wait and see.

Great Plants
Reviewed By: Natalie (Rehoboth Beach, DE)
I bought 50 plants in May. They arrived fast. After planting, 6 of the plants just didn't grow but the rest started to develop really fast. I didn't pluck any flowers. I had first strawberries in the second week of June and was getting about a handful every day for about 1.5 weeks. Then the strawberries took a little break and started to develop a lot of run offs. In August I am getting more strawberries than I had in June. Even the runoffs have berries on them. So, I am very pleased with my purchase. I'm planning on moving from DE to NC and if I do I'll buy a lot more plants and seeds from gourneys as I'll have a huge garden unlike 4x4 feet outside the condo I live in right now.

Love My First Ever Strawberries
Reviewed By: Velma Southerland (Greeneville, Tennessee)
I received 50 plants, or thereabouts, I didn't count, and put them in the ground around April 15. Within a day or two they were all sprouting leaves and looking good. If I lost even one plant, I didn't notice it. Now, I'm getting berries by the cupful. Succulent, sweet and scrumptious. And the runners are going wild and filling the bed. These were a great buy.

YUMMMMMMY!
Reviewed By: CL (Meridian, ID)
I've never dealt with bare-root plants before, so I was a bit nervous when these arrived as a jumbled bunch of roots and nothing that resembled a plant! I received 28 plants, so even though one didn't make it, I had 2 extra. They started sprouting leaves within a few days and now in late July I have my first berries (I picked off the flowers through mid-June to promote plant growth). I've also left a number of the stronger runners to develop so I now have 40-some plants to start off next season. Though many told me not to leave any runners or I wouldn't get berries, I seem to have lots of developing berries despite having left 15-20 runners to develop, so I'm very pleased with productivity and, of course, the taste as well!

Great plants

My strawberries arrived before the planter, so I stored them unopened in my refrigerator. I was able to plant them one week later. I left them in full sun and in one day, I have green leaves on all the plants. Every one lived! Thanks for providing such great plants.

Extremely nice plants
Reviewed By: Mr. and Mrs. G (Garland, Texas)
"These plants arrived with well established, healthy root systems. Two days after planting, they were past ""shipping shock"" and were thriving. One week after planting they were noticeably growing. Most mail ordered plants take a while to adapt, so we were very pleased. Anticipating a great crop of berries."
