Double Delicious Hybrid Sweet Corn Seed (se)

Our Most Popular (se) Corn

Garden Talk
Listen to why this is Niles' favorite.
  • Our most popular (se) sweet corn
  • 9-inch ears filled with deep, tender, yellow kernels
  • Outstanding germination and vigor
  • An (se) taste-test winner
  • Top-rated by gardeners
When we first tasted Double Delicious, the vote was unanimous—hands down, the highest quality se sweet corn we've ever grown! And it's got amazing vigor and excellent germination in cold soils. Double Delicious produces high yields of golden 9-inch ears brimming with deep, tender yellow kernels. While it produces full-sized ears, its stalks aren't quite as large as other sweet corn varieties. By far our most popular (se) sweet corn, Double Delicious is a (se) taste-test winner and has been consistently receiving rave reviews from home gardeners for its outstanding flavor and performance. For best results, sow sweet corn seed directly into the garden after the soil temperatures have reached 60 degrees or higher – about two weeks after the last killing frost. Corn pollinates best when planted in blocks of four or more rows, rather than a single long row. When planting Double Delicious (se) Sweet Corn, isolate it from all (sh2) and (su) varieties. 83 DAYS.

Plants will be shipped at the proper planting time for your area of the country using the shipping timeframes outlined below. We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August. Items that are overweight will require an additional shipping charge depending on weight.

Additional Shipping Notes:

The type of product you order or the weather in our area to yours may affect the anticipated shipping schedule, shifting earlier or later, depending.

Trees and shrubs are kept in the nursery row until full dormant for optimum stress protection.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your orders via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx. Large orders or large items may be shipped to you in multiple packages.

Sorry, we cannot ship products to Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO or outside the contiguous United States. Please provide a street address as some products are unable to be delivered to Post Office boxes.
