Dixie Speckled Butterpea Seed

Colorful and tender.

  • Deep red and purple speckled seeds
  • Grows well in the heat
  • Open pollinated, heirloom variety
Deep red and purple speckled butter pea will add a little color to your meals! The bush-type plants produce plenty of up to 4-inch pods with 3-4 seeds per pod. The seeds, sometimes called butter peas or lima beans, are somewhat rounded and, when cooked, have a wonderful creamy texture and nutty flavor. The seeds can be eaten fresh or dried. Dixie Speckled Butterpea is an open pollinated, heirloom variety that likes the heat and is quite popular in Southern gardens. It's recommended by 9 Southern State Extension Services. 75 DAYS.
