One of the finest late apples; fruit is medium to large with a sweet-tart flavor and long storage life. Best flavor develops after four weeks in storage. Because of its low chill requirement and naturally high vigor, Cripps Pink Lady is well adapted to the warm climate across the South. It is so vigorous that it does well even in poor soils and shouldn't be over-fertilized. Good for fresh eating or cooking. Late maturity— mid November. Zones 6–8, one of the best for Zone 8.
