Pretty greens but vulnerable

I got three of these cranberries last year. They did well, and all survived the winter. One flowered this spring. Then it got wet. Two have died from fungus. Dry isn't good, but too wet isn't, either. I had really looked forward to having a pretty, tasty fruit plant.

Moisture control

My third try. The plants arrive healty & fine, but I don't water well & they dry up. This year I planted it in a hanging basket (in peat moss) and set that in a bucket half full of water. Now it is doing quite well. No flowers the first year...we will see next year.
