The large heads weigh 3-4 lbs. each, so there are plenty of slightly wrinkled leaves for shredding into salads of making into stir-fry. The plants are bolt tolerant and resistant to both tip burn and black speck. Cabbage is a cool season crop that can be grown in the spring and fall gardens. In the spring, start cabbage seeds indoors and transplant to the garden. In the fall, seed can be directly sown into the garden or started indoors. 70 DAYS
