Blueberry Meringue Reblooming Iris Mix Product Details

Botanical Name: Iris germanica 'Reblooming Mix'; Family Iridaceae (iris family)

Height: 36".

Spacing: 18"-24".

Depth: Dig a shalow hole 2"-4" deep and twice as wide as the rhizome. Place the rhizome on a small mound in the middle of this hole and spread the roots. Fill the hole with soil, but only partially cover the rhizome. Water thoroughly.

Spread: 18"-24".

Sun/Shade: Full sun to partial shade.

Color: Mixed shades of blue, white and purple.

Foliage: Fans of long sword-like gray green blades.

Blooms: Mid to late Spring with good reblooming in late Summer; 2-3 weeks.

Form: Herbaceous perennial; upright.

Flower Form: Ruffled; typical iris blossoms.

Soil Requirements: Well-drained; quite tolerant of a wide range of soils.

Growth Rate: Fast once established.

Pruning: Remove spent flower stems to encourage reblooming. In late Fall, cut foliage back to 6" fan. Clean up debris to prevent borers from over-Wintering.

Comments: Shipped in Fall. Strong vigorous plants pump out plent of blooms all season in rich shades of blue, purple and irridescent white.
