  • Height: About 6 - 8 feet (needs staking).
  • Spacing: 18 - 24 inches between plants, 3 - 5 feet between rows.

  • Comments: Start tomato seed indoors 6-8 weeks before transplanting. Can be direct seeded when weather is warm. Plant the seeds 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart, separating rows by 2 inches. Germination should take place in 6-14 days. After seedlings grow 1 inch tall, thin so plants 3 inches apart. Move them to the garden once they're 6-8 inches tall. Set the plants 36 inches apart in rows 48 inches apart. Tomatoes prefer full sun and rich, well-drained soil.
