The clusters of small trumpet shaped violet purple blooms begin in early Summer and keep going until Fall. The blooms have a light sweet fragrance similar to Syringa Lilacs. The compact growth habit makes them ideal for a patio container planting as well. These great small shrubs grow slowly through suckers but are not the slightest bit invasive.
