AsparaBest® Asparagus

Produces up to 3 Times More Spears!

Harvest lots more spears—without sacrificing flavor. AsparaBest truly lives up to its name! Its predominantly male plants produce 2 to 3 times more spears than popular Jersey varieties. And, the purple-tipped green spears have an excellent flavor. Developed at the University of Guelp, Guelph, Ontario, the late-emerging AsparaBest thrives in cold northern environments.

Easy-to-transplant plugs of this high-yielding new variety are available to Gurney's customers this fall. Planting these seedlings is easy—often only a trowel is needed. And, when you plant plugs this fall, you'll get a jumpstart on spring planting.

Regardless of your location, this sweet, crisp variety is unmatched in northern climates for cold tolerance and will live and produce longer than any other variety.
