Small size, big production! At just 15 ft. tall, the Hazelnut Tree, also called the American Filbert Tree, can be used as an attractive shrub-like landscape plant or as an informal hedge. Its fiery fall foliage brightens the landscape. Hazelnuts are easy to crack and contain small sweet kernels that are delicious for eating fresh and cooking. The nuts are harvested from September to October. For pollination, plant two or more Hazelnut trees. Requires 700-1,000 chill hours. Grows best in full sun to partial shade. Zones 4-8.

Trees and shrubs are kept in the nursery row until full dormant for optimum stress protection.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your orders via the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx. Large orders or large items may be shipped to you in multiple packages.

Sorry, we cannot ship products to Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO or outside the contiguous United States. Please provide a street address as some products are unable to be delivered to Post Office boxes.

Fruit: Clusters of 2 - 6 round, 1/2 inch long nuts with smooth, thick shells. Shells are easy to crack; shell out whole.
