basically wild
Reviewed By: Henry (Bonne Terre, MO)
These hazelnuts are extremely hardy. They grow well and are resistant to a lot of insects. However, the nuts are about 1/8 the size of the ones you buy in the store. I got half a grocery bag of nuts off the ones I planted three years ago, but they are too small to crack and eat. If you want larger nuts, you need a named cultivar instead of these.

Bushes or trees?
Reviewed By: Jerry (Washington, Indiana)
"I purchased two of these ""twigs"" four years ago. They are large bushes now and made nuts last fall. This year they are loaded! I would rather they ""tree"" out instead of being bushes."
