THE ONLY HYBRID TOMATO I USE
Reviewed By: Sylvester017 (Los Angeles County, CA)
Heirloom tomatoes are my fun projects. But, the one and ONLY hybrid I must have every year is the VFN Better Boy. It and Mortgage Lifter gave so much fruit I was freezer canning them for several weeks! It's Thanksgiving time and I'm still harvesting 4 oz tomatoes in 40 degree weather. In summer the fruit is bigger. Doesn't split or crack and is always a perfect rounded shape. The taste is ordinary but the plant is so prollific I make lots of tomato sauce.

Better Boy

Some of the reviews on this tomato puzzle me. This has been the best tomtato for me. I quit growing the Big Beef beside it because the Better Boy always out performed it. A wonderful tomato in everyway. I generally grow about 18 plants of different 3 or 4 kinds. Better Boy has been my favorite.

Very sturdy plants and it make a GREAT SLICING TOMATO FOR SURE! Grows great in the Pacific NW where there is cool weather some of the time and at other times, it can be very warm. We're growing it right here in NW Oregon!
