great little plants
Reviewed By: Stephanei (Pipestone, Minnesota)
My plants arrived 2 weeks ago, little more than small twigs with roots. I planted then immediately. Now just 2 weeks later they are fully leafed out and growing very fast! The big one has already grown 6 inches and put off leaves of it's own, and the little one one has grown about 4in. I can't wait until next year to see if it starts to produce. I will definitely be buying more next year to start a hedge row. I couldn't be happier!

not so great
Reviewed By: Aimee (Saratoga, NY)
"I got 2 Saskatoon ""stems"" for my boyfriend because he grew up in Saskatchewan. I planted both of them right away and I've been pretty unimpressed. One of them was tiny when it arrived and has hardly grown an inch. The leaves it does have are developing brown spots. It just seems stunted. The second one is a little better, but it was much bigger when it arrived. It has a healthier leaf cover and has probably doubled in height. We're going up to Saskatoon later this year, so I'm going to see if I can get a better stock shipped to us."

great berries
Reviewed By: Mary michael (Livingston, MT)
I had a volunteer bush grow with some aspen transplants I took from the ranch to the city. Not knowing what the twig was that was coming up next to the aspen, for two years I mowed it down. I finally let it grow and it was a Saskatoon or Juneberry bush. Beautiful flowers in spring, wonderful berries in summer. I enjoyed it for two years until my daughters dog chewed it off and it never came back! For sure I am buying more, but the dog is not getting near these.

Juneberry Heaven
Reviewed By: Teresa Sink (Galt, California)
If you've ever enjoyed Juneberry Jam in the Dakotas, this is the same berry! I used to live in North Dakota and really missed eating the Juneberries that seem to grow everywhere there. I was THRILLED to find the plants at Gurneys. Now I can enjoy them here in California... I just cant wait to get them and plant them! Thanks Gurneys!

An excellent alternative

I have tried traditional blueberry plants for years and could never get the ph balance correct and the plants ended up dying. Now I have great blueberries and a wonderful landscape plant. This is a great secret!
