Fruit in the first year!
Reviewed By: Debra (Grant City, MO)
Could not stop this plant from fruiting. Carefully picked off all the flowers in the first bloom (per directions) and had to pull blooms again two weeks later. I was sure that had stopped it, but lo and behold it managed to get around me and put forth a small crop of tiny but delicious berries its first year. This was on the smaller of the two plants available. We've since moved but I'm planting them again and hoping for similar results.

Patriot Blueberry
Reviewed By: Charlyn Miller (Ridgeview, West Virginia)
The plant came dormant and has been in the ground for about a month. It has leafed out and looks quite healthy. I ordered a different, smaller variety to plant nearby and it is also doing well.

Very Impressed
Reviewed By: Angela (Harvest, Alabama)
I ordered three of these plants three years ago, and was delighted when they produced fruit the very first year. We lost on to the winter that year, but got a warranty replacement in the spring--which quickly caught up to the other two in growth. This year, they gave me a steady handful of blueberries every other day from May through July, and have taken beautifully to the heavy red clay of the area.

Great
Reviewed By: Red (Central, MA)
This is the best of my plants. I have 4 differant kinds. These berries are the largest of all that I have. I had a new cane grow the prior year and this past season there had to be 10 berries the size of almost a quarter on them And the best tasting. I have 4 of these and bought 2 more this year. This plant is a must!!! The 4 plants that I have now are about 7 years old. And I get a ton of berries from them. Still have about 8 pounds still in the freezer! My other plants are Bluecrop and Blueray Jersey.

This is by far the best berries of four different types I have growing - they are all good but this is a great one. The berries are 50% bigger than others.

I love this blueberry
Reviewed By: James Papas (Coulterville, California)
This seems to grow well, and Gurneys came through with some replacements on the few that were broken in shipping. Berries are small, but seems like 2 times as many of them.

I love this blueberry
Reviewed By: James Papas (Coulterville, California)
Patriot seems to be one of the fastes growing blueberries I have. They produce well and have been growing good so far. I had some from last year and they are getting big and looking good. I did not pull the fruit of the the ones last year and I think that kept them small in thier first year. Fruit is very very good!

large and hardy
Reviewed By: Joe (Suring, Wi)
Large berries on hardy plants, my bare root stock took 3 years to start producing but I didn't have my ground acidified until I planted them, so they took a year to get started good. They love acid soil, so start to acidify your ground before you plant( it may take 2-3 months for acidifiers to take total effect ) and protect plants from deer. Enjoy

Home or Commercial
Reviewed By: Al Rosenberg (Warwick, Rhode Island)
As a retired grower I can recommend this fruit for flavor, size, abundance, easy picking and offering a long season with its staying power on the bush. It was a mainstay of my commercial farm and will be in my retiremment kitchen garden.
