Soil-less Grow Plugs are made of natural, biodegradable materials so that each plug can

(Scranton, PA) I have, for years, tried the traditional peat starter kits sold in stores, with almost no luck at all. Without fail, my seedlings would go dry or end up sitting in too hot of a sunny spot and bake. This year, I said no more! I ordered two of these starter kits, plus two small ones, and set up a grow light table. I am having the best seed start ever! Over 100 plants! All different kinds! The only seeds that don't seem to like this system so far have been peas/beans (I live up north and wanted to get a head start) - its too much moisture for them, and pumpkin/gourds. Everything else has sprouted wonderfully, and I have quite a list - tomatoes, peppers, sunflowers, marigolds, zinnias, cantaloupe, various herbs from dill to parsely, cucumbers, squash, eggplant, chard, cauliflower! As other reviewers mention, the root systems (and most of my plants are only two weeks old) are impressively long. In a couple of weeks, some of the bigger plants will need to be moved to bigger inside pots, but this has to be the best seed starting experience I've ever had. I will most definitely be ordering replacement plugs next spring!
If you are serious about gardening, but maybe not the best green thumb (or just want it to be easier), order these! Read More Reviews

Great price for the kit

Great product, already sprouting seeds for my garden. I was floating around online, while I loved the price of the kit I am not so thrilled about the price of the refill kit. This is the only reason for giving the 4 and not a 5.
