Exotic-looking, 1 1/2- to 2-in. blooms emerge in summer for a striking complement to any sunny garden spot. Sweet, blackberry-flavored fruit is perfect for jams, jellies and syrups. Grows to 4-6 ft. tall. Prefers full sun to part shade. Potted. Zones 5-9.

Comments: Ideal for covering a wall, trellis or decorative vine support. This hardy perennial vine bears very unique flowers. Flowers are 1 1/2-2" wide with thread-like extensions in cream with blue-purple around the center. Native to the Eastern U.S., Passion Flower or also commonly called Maypop, freezes to the ground each winter, only to re-grow, flower and produce edible fruit each growing season.

I am so impressed with this flower!!! I was afraid that it wouldn't grow where I live, but it thrived!!! It has started to bloom and is so exotic! 5 move blooms to go. However the only draw back is the blooms don't last long.
