Two years ago, we started planting this variety, and now I like red beets too. We grow enough to share with a neighbor and have enough left to can. Their color is so rich and deep, they look like jewels in the jar. Use them to make red beet eggs, or just to eat (pickled) out of the jar. - Wednesday, March 16, 2011The Candy Beet.
