Katsura TreeRich, Unique Fall Fragrance
(3 customer reviews)Delicate, heart-shaped foliage keeps changing; leaves emerge bronze to reddish purple, turn blue-green in summer and yellow to apricot in fall. Big surprise comes last—sweet, spicy aroma that’s compared to ginger cookies, caramel and cotton candy! Quickly grows 40-60 ft. in height, doing well even in clay soils. Bareroot. Zones 4-8. This item ships only in the spring. If our spring shipping season is closed, your order will be shipped the following spring. Product Details

BUT, when shipped, the newspaper dried out, as did the roots. I soaked it for 24 hrs like other said on this site, but it only leafed out on the bottom 4 inches, if that. - Monday, March 30, 2009Katsura Reviewed By: Brenda (Kelowna, B.C.) Katsura is a lovely, ever changing tree that does well planted as an understory tree in my garden. I bought one, planted it and loved it so much I went back to the nursery and bought 2 more! I have also cloned this tree. It is a beautiful tree for any setting or garden style and is so far pretty easy to keep happy. - Thursday, February 26, 2009Great City Shade Tree Reviewed By: Jane Burton (St. Louis, MO) This is a lovely-shaped sturdy shade tree that is well suited for the city because of its size. Not a huge tree. 40 to 60 feet high, maybe 20 feet wide. Doesn't drop nuts or gum balls or other junk. Beautiful leaves, nice fall color. pretty gray bark. Read More Reviews |
