Gotta Have It Sweet CornA Sweet Corn WITHOUT EQUAL!
(13 customer reviews)It’s the richest, most flavorful corn you’ve ever tasted. Its tender, oh-so-sweet kernels give it an amazingly long shelf life—3+ weeks in its husk in the refrigerator! Very slow to become starchy so you have a longer window of harvest. Unbeatable for freezing. Shorter-than- average plants hold their own against the elements and disease. Approx. 200 seeds per pkt. 78 DAYS. Isolate (250-300 ft. or 3 wks. maturity time) from all se and su varieties. Can be planted with sh2 varieties. This item ships at the proper planting time for your region in both spring and fall. If the current shipping season is closed, your order will ship at the proper time in the next season. I waited to long to start watering. (new to Florida and new to the climate, plus soil wasn't right) The end results were ok, but again, I beleive that to be my fault. BUT, the taste was awsome. I knew when I tried some out in the garden.....this was great sweet corn. A+ - Friday, September 04, 2009Wonderful Reviewed By: Royal (Millerton, PA) This is the first year that we have tried this corn and even though we have had a bad year, as far as the weather goes, this corn has done exceptionally well. We just harvested our first batch and I have to say that it is the sweetest corn we have ever had! Everyone here loves it and I’m afraid that we will end up eating it all as corn on the cob and not have any to freeze for this winter. Absolutely the most wonderfully flavored corn out there! - Saturday, January 10, 2009the very best! Reviewed By: Randal (Smithville, Tennessee) We first tried this corn as a small pkt 3 years ago. This was a planting in addition to about half an acre of other sweet corn. My next door neighbor got the first batch from this patch and said "I am 73 years old and this is by FAR the best corn I have ever eaten". I was sceptical, but after trying it, I agreed! Have planted much more both years since. The only problem encountered was some I planted 2 years ago a little early. I found it doesn't germinate too well in cool soil...but the later planting was fine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Read More Reviews |
