You may be lucky enough to harvest the tomato that beats the
record, but even if not, most of your crop will be plump, meaty
fruits that weigh well over a pound. The name describes the taste—
flavorful, juicy and just plain delicious. Fruit resists cracking and
stores for weeks. Indeterminate plants produce huge yields. 77 DAYS.
Tomato plants are not available in ME and MT.Seeds will be shipped within 5-10 days of your order. Plants ship only in the spring. If our spring shipping season is closed, your order will be shipped the following spring.
Product Details
Zones: 3 - 9 annua.l Height: Will keep growing until it is killed by frost. Spacing: 18-24 inches between plants, 3-5 feet between rows. Depth: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before planting outdoors. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep. Transplant outdoors after any chance of frost is past (may use Kozy Koats #80842 to plant earlier). When transplanting, set the plant deep, up to the first true leaves, by Spread: Indeterminate vines. Sun/Shade: Full sunlight, insufficient light will cause for vines to be tall and spindly. Germination: 8-10 days.
| Pollinator: Self pollinating. Both male and female flowers are present on each plant. Days To Maturity: 77 days from transplant. Yield: 100 lbs. per 100 foot row. Fruit: Red, large, excellent flavor. Smooth, very little cracking. Almost solid meat, small seed cavity. Comments: Developed from Beefsteak. Set the world record for size. They aren't the most delicious tomatoes but they are definitely delicious! They are extra sturdy plants. The down side to this tomato is it did not produce very much. These tomatoes really do fit their name! They aren't the most delicious tomatoes but they are definitely delicious! They are extra sturdy plants. The down side to this tomato is it did not produce very much. Otherwise, you'll love it!
