I purchased some of the Ithaca Head Lettuce seed early this spring. Let me be the first to say this is an outstanding variety! I started some plants in my greenhouse this spring and I have harvested several heads of this lettuce...they were big and firm, and tasted very good. I highly recommend this head lettuce variety to anyone wanting to grow head lettuce.
