The Standard Early Bean

Starts producing nearly a week ahead of most varieties. Bears 6- to 8-in. stringless pods and nothing stops it! Tolerates mosaic virus, greasy pod and heat. Cooks up tender; cans and freezes with no loss of quality. 2 oz. per pkt. 49 DAYS.
Seed counts: A 2-oz. packet of snap bean seeds (bush and pole) contains about 150 seeds and sows a 25-ft. row. A 2-oz. packet of lima bean seeds (bush and pole) contains about 50 seeds and sows a 15-ft row.
This item ships at the proper planting time for your region in both spring and fall.

Awesome taste and production

We planted 3 - 15ft rows of these (seeds were from 3 years ago) in mid-September. Germination was great! Harvested, ate and froze so many we got tired of picking them. Awesome flavor! Several folks commented they were the best green bean they had tasted. I believe I will have enough frozen to last most of 2013!

Great taste great producer. In our first large garden we are reaping a bounty of real good tasting beans. Sharing with friends, they love them too.

Grew the Early Contenders last year and I will again this year. They came on early, stayed productive and had plenty for the neighbors to enjoy also.
