Hundreds of 1 1/2-in. blooms load shapely 3-ft. mounds of foliage from late summer until frost. Vivid mix of reds, pinks and blues is perfect for beds and borders. Potted. Zones 4-9.

Spacing: 12-20 inches
Depth: Plant so crown is 1 inch below surface. Water well
Sun/Shade: Full Sun
Color: Pink, Blue or Red
Foliage: Dies back in Fall
Blooms: Late Summer to Frost
Comments: Mix generous amounts of peat moss, compost or well rotted manure into the soil. Water deeply 1 time a week. When rainfall is scanty. Feed with 5-10-5 in spring. Remove flowers as they fade. When frost blackens foliage, cut back to 1 inch and mulch. This aster is a beautiful fall blooming plant that is a great way to extend the bloom time of a perennial garden. Good companion to mums. Should bloom the 1st season with the proper care. Great as cut flowers.

This thing does have lots and lots of flowers but it will take over the next spring. One plant will turn into about 50 in a 3' circle. enjoy
