Sets enormous crops without a pollinator! Fits any size yard. Bursts into fragrant bloom in early April. Produces a tasty bounty of big, heart-shaped, reddish-black cherries. Ripening in June and July. Zones 5-8.

Comments: Cherries do not like wet feet. Do not soak trees for over 24 hours, prior to planting. If fertilized planting only use a slow release fertilizer. Attract bees and birds. Leaves and twigs are poisonous.Sweet cherry. Very vigorous, productive tree. Fruit is moderately crack resistant. Planting: If using clay soil, incorporate 1/3 sand and 1/3 compost or composted manure. Planting site should have excellent drainage. Fill hole with water, should be completely drained in 1/2 hour. i ordered this stick 5 weeks ago and it has lots of leaf buds however they will not open it is now april when it should already be blooming it is not even leaved out yet
