Huge Blackberries!
Reviewed By: Gayle (Jacksonville, Arkansas)
This is the 3rd year for this berry. Last year, I got hundreds of the biggest, sweetest berries I had ever seen! Picked about 2 lbs every afternoon! Wash and eat! Perfect for topping for homemade vanilla ice cream! Excellent for cobblers too! I love no thorns! I have twice as many berries this year and I bet I get 100 lbs off of this one bush this year! These can't be beat! I have now planted a 2nd one and I expect to have enough off of it next year, just for preserves!

Excellent, large, sweet berries! 3rd year on this vine, got over 35 lbs of berries last year, as big as your thumb! Sweet too! I have planted another one and can't wait for it next year!

Be patient with the root stock

When these plants arrived I was a little surprised to see a stick with roots, but wasn't worried. I planted them and watered and tended them. After a few weeks I was worried that they weren't going to sprout but right after I determined to call gurney's if they didn't gain leaves soon little leaves appeared right at the soil level and they are now happy and healthy little plants. Just posting this to make sure others don't get overly worried like I did. =3

This is a must buy

I purchased 6 Apache thornless bushes last year. This year we have an abundance of huge, sweet berries and NO thorns. The best of both worlds. I'm from Okla and used to the wild ones w/ killer thorns. I really didn't think these would have near the flavor but they are fantastic! You won't be disappointed.

Growing Great!

Apache Thornless Blackberry shipped to me on 5/6/11. Placed the small plant in a small pot with potting soil to get it established a bit, then placed it in the ground. Here it is 8/19/11 and I have a beautiful healthy 3' tall plant thriving through day after day of Texas 100+ degree heat, possibly record heat and we'll know the records in Autumn.
