Mine are more of a medium fuscia. I planted mine back in the spring. They are blooming and the Hummingbirds love them. They are tall and they do lean over which is the look I like. I am ordering two more they are great fillers in a bed.  -  Friday, September 24, 2010 Not as pictured Reviewed By: Heather (Houston, TX) I ordered two of these, planted them in good soil, fertilized. They grew but flopped over immediately, not standing upright like in the picture. The few flowers are light pink, not red. Even after staking them in their pots, I gave up because they looked messy and awful. Replanted them in a hummingbird upside down planter, one in top and one in bottom. Now they look decent, draping over the sides of the planter, and recently we got our first hummingbirds.  -  Tuesday, September 21, 2010 Red Penstemon Reviewed By: Mary Lostak (Spring, Texas) I planted some of these many months ago and they are a nice green but have never put on flowers,They are in part shade but mostly sun in the afternoon.I have fertilized them but 0 blooms (sigh)
