Conner (Baskerville, Virginia) I ordered Trofeo Beans two years ago because I wanted something different. We had always grown Contenders but these were the best tasting string bean I have ever eaten. I canned over a hundred quarts and had enough seed to plant last year at which time I canned another hundred quarts. I only have 38 quarts left. This is definately my familys bean of choice and they love them cooked with a little salt and conola oil. - Sunday, January 23, 2011The Best Reviewed By: Jeremy Tschudin (Chatham, New York) These are the best ever and I've been growing beans for 30 years. They do not get "muscular" and the taste is deep and full. Good producers too. - Tuesday, September 21, 2010Great fillet bean Reviewed By: Pam R (Brooksville, Maine) This bean has great flavor, produces over a long period of time, is disease resistant and sold well at farmer's market. In fact, I had MANY return customers asking for this bean! - Thursday, July 01, 2010Love these beans! Reviewed By: Glenda (Carrollton, Ilinois) Unbelievable Yield Trofeo was excellent steamed fresh, and stood up well to blanching and freezing. Family loves them flavored with bacon or ham,and potatoes when served with cornbread. Beautiful, disease-free beans. Last year was the first time I planted them and our family fell in love with them. Nice, long, and slender, excellent flavor and without any spots. Grandkids would even try to eat them raw! - Saturday, February 27, 2010Unbelievable Yield Reviewed By: Vicki (Edinburg, VA) I kept hoping something would kill these plants because they just didn't stop producing perfect long, thin, tasty pods. I only had about 75' of row and we ate and canned so many and I still had some left to give away. No diseases, even the bugs didn't bother them much. Awesome! |
