Reviewed By: Micah Wade (Spokane, WA) when I got the potatoes from gurneys, they were in perfect condition with planting instructions. I planted them ASAP. Being that it was my first year growing potatoes the plants kind of suffered, but when it came time to harvest I was very impressed with the large, tasty potatoes from the harvest. I made my youth group (who are indeed Lord of the Rings fans) grommet mashed PO-TA-TOES which were highly enjoyable! - Wednesday, August 10, 2011Best Potato Around Reviewed By: Jessica (New Vienna, OH) This is the second year we planted these and my husband and I were out in the garden counting the days to harvest. These are by far the best tasting potatoes we have ever grown - thin skinned and easy to 'smash' with a buttery flavor like no other. - Saturday, September 24, 2011yukon gold potatoes Reviewed By: joseph dicks (staten island, new york) First time grew Yukon Gold Potatoes they were very easy to grow and the harvest was well above what I expected. nest year will plant more of these. My 8 yr old couldn't eat enough of these!! - Saturday, October 08, 2011Great yield for a 1st time potato grower Reviewed By: Brittany (Naperville, IL) I planted Yukon Gold & Red Pontiac. I have gardened for years, but this was my first time doing potatoes. I planted only 1 pound of each and gave the rest of the seed potatoes away (didn't have enough space). I just pulled up 1 of my 3 rows (each row .66 lbs) and got 15lbs of potatoes! My Girl Scout troupe is going to grow their own for campfire dinners. - Sunday, January 20, 2013Great Producer in the North Reviewed By: Janet Fergin (Engadine, Michigan) Tried and true. This is by far our favorite potato for our Northern climate. Doubling our order this year for more enjoyment! |
