Boy, was I glad that I did! Gurney's Burpless II out produced County Fair. Cucumber beetles left them alone. I have a new favorite. - Wednesday, December 02, 2009in a pickle Reviewed By: Sue (Albertville, MN) We did have a drought this year but I watered a lot and everything else did average except these. For 20 years I gave away cuc's. This year I had to buy them. If you are a true gardener you can imagine my horror. It is as bad as having to buy zucchini! - Wednesday, December 02, 2009mistake Reviewed By: Sue (Albertville, MN) I made a mistake in my review. The worthless cuc was a Hybrid EARLY Burpless. I would like to write another constructive criticism of this web site. There was no place for me to contact you to tll you this other than here! - Friday, January 08, 2010Unbelievable yield! Reviewed By: Diane (Council Bluffs, Iowa) Although 2009 was a good cucumber year overall in our area, the Burpless II Hyb. produced huge yields of uniform cukes all summer long. We ate lots and pickled and pickled and pickled! This is my new favorite cucumber! - Sunday, January 24, 2010All Time Favorite Reviewed By: Mary (Perry, Iowa) We have grown these cucumbers the past two years and this variety is an awesome producer. We are enjoying the pickles this winter and so are my family, neighbors and co-workers as I had more than enough to share and for them to make pickles as well. And we had a colder than usual growing season this past year. This is one of our all time favorites. |
