All of them germinated in 3 days. Have not gotten further than that yet so we will see. Just wanted to let you know how to get them to germinate. - Thursday, January 28, 2010excellent melons Reviewed By: Chuck Yaniko (Ironton, Ohio) I have grown these melons for several years. Excellent flavor, sweetness and size. Yes germination rates are low, but they are low on ALL seedless melon seeds. If you do not overwater and allow a longer germination period the rates will be around 50 to 60 %. Keeping them too wet and or cold really slows the germination rate down. Overall these are the best seedless melons I have grown and I have tried several kinds. Friends cannot get enough of my extras!!! - Friday, May 29, 2009Results Reviewed By: Rusty Wigal (Milan, Michigan) I bought 3 packages of these seeds. Not one seed germinated. My Crimson Sweets grew great. This one is a disappointment. - Wednesday, May 27, 2009Not very good Reviewed By: Jon (Atlanta, GA) Very poor germination rate. About 20%. Much worse than other seeds I got from Gurneys, which typically has a >90% rate. I used a good seed strating system and my other watermelon (Crimson Sweet) came out 100%. - Tuesday, March 10, 2009didn't germinate Reviewed By: Bo (Cambridge, Mn) I got 2 packs of these seeds and not one germinated!! would not recommend. |
