Product review for Double Delicious Corn Overall Rating: ![]() Write an online review and share your thoughts with other customers Sort Reviews: Newest | Oldest | Highest Rating | Lowest Rating :: Viewing page 1 of 2 - Thursday, December 10, 2009good stuff Reviewed By: Kristi C (Strathcona, MN) I bought some to try out a few years ago becuase I wasn't having very good luck with corn in my sandy soil. This corn gave me the yeild of a life time, we had so much xtra that I froze some, and found it was almost better frozen. It is sweet, and tender, with small kernels that just melt in your mouth. I now plant only this corn...nothing else compares. - Saturday, March 13, 2010The Best By Far Reviewed By: Derrick (Granite Falls, NC) I guess taste is according to the person. I have tried both Double Delicious and Gotta Have It, and it wasn't even close. Double Delicious did FAR better in production, tasted 5 times better, and costs far less. So I believe it is the better choice. After all the hype surrounding Gotta Have It, I found it disappointing, and DD is still the best variety I have ever had. And the whole family agrees. - Friday, July 23, 2010Gotta have it Reviewed By: Dwight Noyes (DePere, WI) Gave some last year to couple who buy at the "best farm market." They called and said the best corn they ever ate! - Saturday, May 03, 2008Double Delicious Sweet Corn (se) Reviewed By: Tracie (Gridley, California) I live in an incredible agriculture area and so that may have something to do with the success I had with growing this corn, but regardless of why, I found the Double Delicious to be Sweet, Tender and very flavorful. My friends and neighbors all said they found it to be an exceptional choice - even when compared to three other varieties. I did a taste test with approximately 25 different people and the feedback was unanimous with one exception, stating that the Double Delicious was their favorite for sweetness, tenderness and flavor. The only drawback I found for this corn was that the cobs were slightly smaller than the other varieties I planted at the same time. All in all, I found this to be an excellent choice. Thank you Gurneys! - Monday, June 15, 2009Family loves it! Reviewed By: Keith M. (Booneville, Kentucky) My family loves to eat sweet corn. This variety is the best we have had. Love the Kandy Corn, but in our opinion, this is sweeter. Last year planted two rows in the garden. This year I have planted four rows. Will buy more for next year. |
