Hofer (Tampa, FL) Perhaps they simply meant that it did not have the strong scent they were expecting. I love jasmine and have two varieties: Winter Jasmine and Confederate Jasmine. Confederate is much more strongly scented. Winter tends to bloom sooner though, so the scent, though delicate, can be enjoyed before the other has flowered.  -  Monday, December 28, 2009 Mrs Reviewed By: kathy (St.Louis, Mo) Your question about Jasmine blooms. One rule of the thumb ,dont over water any potted plants. Let the soil dry up,untill you see the plant leaves drooping, not dry, then water.You will see buds in 1-2 days, This is true with Hibiscus,Gardinea,Jasmin and most of the tropical plants grown inside.  -  Tuesday, July 15, 2008 hmmm...
