Doing great
Reviewed By: Jim (Des Moines, IA)
This is an update to my earlier review. I have had great success with my vines. I have been able to fill 2 gallon sized bags with fresh hops, and have made one brewing with these to add some bitterness. They are great as a bittering hops, and would likely do fine as an aroma hops. I do not know the variety, but they are fairly close to the same smell as Cascade.

Great vine
Reviewed By: Jim (Des Moines, IA)
I ordered these a while ago and when I finally received them they did not look like much. They have been in the ground less than 2 months and already are approaching 2 feet. Not bad progress considering the weather here in Iowa couldn't decide whether it was spring or winter this year. I am looking forward to adding these to my wort, and hopefully these will add a nice bitter taste to balance out the brew. My 2 vines are really doing well, and I do not have the great soil on my property that Iowa is known to have. Give these a try, as I can expect mine to get pretty tall if they continue as they have been.

Fast growing

This vine took off and started multiplying! They started producing hops the first (last) year and we are sure we will get an even better batch this year. My husband is a brewer and looking forward to try them out.

Vigorous Once Established
Reviewed By: Dan (Marshall, MN)
First year it didn't amount to much - just a couple of wimpy sprigs sticking out of the ground. Second year - WOW. Grew 15 feet tall. I called Gurneys to find out the variety for home brewing. This is the "Gold Nugget" variety, which can be used in recipes as a bittering agent.

It didn't take here in Southern Minnesota.
