Not even close to color in picture, they are a light purple color, still pretty, but buyer beware! - Wednesday, March 28, 2012update Reviewed By: T (Columbus, OH) Thanks for updating the description of this beautiful plant. - Monday, June 28, 2010not red Reviewed By: T (Columbus, OH) This plant is NOT red, but a light pink/lavendar. They are pretty, just be warned. Also, my plants grow to about 40+ inches tall - so plant in the back of your beds. If you are in a windy area the stalks will fall over and turn brown. Make sure to clip the stalks after they are done blooming and they'll rebloom. - Wednesday, June 23, 2010disappointed Reviewed By: Lynne (Smithville, OH) Called Gurney's last year because the color did not match what I ordered, which was red. Mine bloomed a light lavender. Gurney was gracious and sent a replacement order last fall. Again, this summer, I still don't have carmine red blooms, instead they are a purple. The foliage is nice, but if you want red blooms, do NOT order this item. You will be disappointed like me. - Monday, June 21, 2010They are not red Reviewed By: Angela (Wright City, Missouri) Like the other reviews stated these are not red they are light purple. They bloom nicely but I wish they were red. I am going to look up if there is a way to change the color by changing the ph of the soil. |
