I too received what I thought were dead sticks. This was in the spring of 2007. I planted my sticks and waited. Not only did they bloom and grow, one actually produced a cluster of grapes! A friend tried one and now he has ordered 6 plants for his yard. EAsy to grow. I have mine where they get morning light and are shaded by 2 in the afternoon. water well. I am the 'black thumb' in my family and even I can get this to grow!

First year...not much. Second year...WOW. These are the sweetest grapes I ever tasted. I would order more except there are now shipping restrictions to Oregon. :( Buy them you will LOVE THEM.

Wonderful taste

We love these grapes! I planted them last year and we have grapes this year. We (and all of our neighbors) were surprised by how many clusters were on there this year and talk about sweet. It said they ripen late August, but we had ours by the end of July. The hardest thing was keeping the neighbor kids away from them, but who could blame them the taste was out of this world. Highly recommend this grape vine!

Very Pleased

I ordered these 3 years ago and got the 'sticks' described here by others. They grew well that summer and were then chewed down to nubs by overzealous puppies. I didn't know if they would come back, but the next year they leafed out and grew well, despite the damage. This year I picked a dozen good size clusters off of the vines. They are small grapes but sweet and delicious. True seedless, the skin is thin and tender not tough like concords. Our soil here is pretty lousy, too, with high winds. The vine has done far better than expected. I'm ordering more. Thanks, Gurneys!

I just planted my grape yesterday. I just want everyone to know the high quality of the plant I received. A very healthy and vigorous plant. Large root system, and ready to go!
